They use cotton and chunky yarn, promoting conscious consumption and the best quality of their pieces.
Historia de Nudo Solar
Nahir Elaine Pérez crea Nudo Solar en octubre de 2017 a tan solo un mes después de la llegada del huracán María a Puerto Rico. Durante este momento, su madre, Michelle Elaine Pagán, le enseña a tejer a ganchillo (crochet). Nahir obtiene la licencia de artesana y se afilia al Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña para dedicarse a la artesanía. Desde entonces, Nahir y Michelle tejen piezas para Nudo Solar y participan de ferias y mercados artesanales reconocidos en Puerto Rico.
History of Nudo Solar
Nahir Elaine Pérez created Nudo Solar in October 2017, just one month after the arrival of Hurricane María in Puerto Rico. During this time, her mother, Michelle Elaine Pagán taught her to crochet. Nahir obtains her artisan license and joins the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture to dedicate herself to craftsmanship. Since then, Nahir and Michelle crochet pieces for Nudo Solar and participate in well-known craft fairs and markets in Puerto Rico.
